Brand Work
When I graduated college and started my job, I told myself that I'd save up enough money to go on a two week trip to New Zealand. I finally saved up enough and COVID hit... I really needed a break, so I decided on a trip to Utah. I booked a van and hit the road for two weeks. Best two weeks of my life.
I flew into Salt Lake City then drove down to Zion National Park. First trail on the list was Angels Landing (talk about scary!) After a couple other trails and some beautiful night skies, I took off to Bryce Canyon then to Capitol Reef. After I hit the parks I went to visit the Bonneville Salt Flats, this place was a photographers dream!
The company I rented through had something in their manual that said if you take photos of the van, send it to them and maybe they'd compensate you for them. So I did that with a couple of my photos and they bought them! That was the cherry on top of the trip. My first commercial sale of images in the bag. It opened my eyes up to a whole new world of brand photography and I'm going to start pursuing that a little more to see if I'd enjoy it.
